When Violence Shows Up at Work

When Violence Shows Up At Work covers the five types of violence, criminal intent, employee and customer or client, employee and employee or employer, personal relationship and active shooter.  Each type is covered with appropriate suggestions on what types of preventative measures can be put into place.  

In this 1 hour webinar, participants will learn how to be aware of their surroundings, how to identify actions of others that should make them wary and what specific actions they can take to deescalate or remove themselves from the potentially violent situations.  

Each participant will learn the concept of attack behavior, the different stages of violence and will also have the opportunity of developing an action plan which can be developed to minimize exposure to violence.  The workshop wraps up by covering descriptions of the four stages of violence with clear, concise suggestions on what to do and what to say within each of those stages.

Steve Hinds, Hingsight 

Steve Hinds, the principal of Hindsight, began the organization with the vision of providing continual development opportunities to individuals and organizations throughout Alaska.  Those organizations which invest in the continual development of their employees will achieve significantly greater results than their competitors.    

Steve's background has involved training and development during the 35 years that he has worked in the field of Human Resources. Prior to Hindsight, he was the Director of the University of Alaska Anchorage's Center for Corporate and Professional Development (CCPD).  Through CCPD, he worked with organizations to determine their development needs and then in conjunction with subject matter experts, developed training programs to meet and exceed those identified needs.​
