I am hoping you all can assist me with three different opportunities to assist young people in their preparation for employability. I work with  CARES,  a Juneau School District after school credit recovery program that serves all high school students in the district.  We offer students an opportunity to "recover their credits and recover their future". We are offering a Career Ready course for our students.   At the end our course we will have a "Employee Fair".  We will showcase the students as they  sit at individual tables with their professional portfolio ready to answer questions about themselves and why they will make a good employee in the future.   We have noticed that students don't know how to "sell" themselves and talk positively about their attributes.  This will give them an opportunity to practice that crucial skill. Here are the ways I am hoping to elicit help from your  community. 

1.  Human Resources Panel (5 panelist)-  October 3, 5-6pm   location- Marie Drake building room.  227

2.  Mock interviews  (3 interviewers) -  October 10, 5-6pm   location- Marie Drake building room.  227

3.  Visit the "Employee Fair"-  Oct. 17- 6-7pm  location- TBA
